What do you think, how will we pick up love again this summer of love? What is love like at all, after keeping distance while sitting on top of each other in houses and cottages?

And as a single person, how do you relate to this new situation when you want to meet new contacts, potential partners? How are all those lat relationships doing, did they last?

Desire and the effect of corona: not tender

Situations we often just conform to without really thinking about. But is it healthy? And what is its effect, even in the long term? Corine Koolen sets out to investigate in her new book. She speaks to all kinds of people involved and love experts, such as. our relationship therapist Joey Steur!

As if with a sledgehammer blow, she describes the effect of corona. Not tender. Measures have made relationship problems bigger or, on the contrary, caused more (permanent) distance between people. Because suddenly we were faced with tragedy that we may not have had too much experience with. For many, a big task that was there overnight.

The question is what this social distancing does to people. Does it cause lasting apathy? You’ll read about it in Corine’s book.

Disturbed Desire has been in stores since this spring, entirely fitting for this period of reopening. In Disturbed Desire, Corine Koole describes several perspectives on intimacy, which has been under considerable pressure over the past year. Social distancing is the new normal, or at least, for anyone who cares. But how does keeping distance affect our relationships? For love that is often already so complex?
