By now we are a few weeks along and the slowing down and silence on the streets is a little less noticeable. Now that the corona restrictions will last longer, the question arises: how do we deal with such a big change and the unpleasantness of it? With the tragedy?
But also, how do you get to know each other in such a new situation? How do you deal with the atmosphere and uncertain perspective? The answer lies in diversity. Because everyone does this in a different and individual way. One acts from a kind of natural confidence, relaxation even. The other worries a lot about what may come next and feels restlessness and distrust. Either way, we are looking for a new balance and the best solutions in adapting to that new situation.
Different people, different views
It is then about “coping”; how you, I, we deal with current uncertainty and stress. Some find it difficult to let go of stress, while others are less concerned about it. Continues as much as possible with things as they were: deal with it!
It is the different ways you and those around you deal with such a crisis. It can help to give all these realities a place and look for balance in them.
In addition, do you manage to learn to tolerate tragedy? The uncertain, sometimes sad feeling may be acknowledged; it may just exist. Like offering tragedy a chair like an old friend. Perhaps lowering the pressure a bit will help. And it is precisely in acknowledging grief and that we are struggling right now that the connection to each other lies.
