Introduction: Evening Rate and Session Duration
As of January 1, 2026, we will adjust our session duration and introduce an evening rate.
These changes are being implemented to ensure we can continue to provide quality, flexibility, and continuity in our services.
We apply this rate to offer you the flexibility of scheduling appointments outside regular office hours, while maintaining the quality and continuity of our services during the evening.
Introductory Consultation (20 minutes)
Intake Session
Standard Session (60 minutes)
Please note: Until January 1, 2026, the current session duration and standard rates remain in effect.
From this date onwards, the new session duration and evening rate will apply.
Starting March 27, 2025, due to a change in the Dutch Tax Administration’s position, we are required to charge 21% VAT on part of our sessions.
We understand this may raise questions. We are happy to think along with you about what best fits your personal journey.
When does the VAT exemption not apply?
The Dutch Tax Administration requires us to charge VAT if the session does not have a specific therapeutic purpose or diagnosis. This means: when there are no psychological or emotional complaints affecting your daily life or wellbeing.
For example:
When does the VAT exemption apply?
The VAT exemption continues to apply when we work together with a therapeutic purpose or with a diagnosis.
This means that the sessions focus on relieving, treating, or preventing psychological or emotional complaints, such as stress, burnout, anxiety, depression, trauma, or tensions that throw you off balance.
It also includes physical signals of mental overload, such as restlessness, fatigue, anger, or relationship problems that contribute to these complaints or hinder recovery.
In other words, the main goal of the treatment must be the protection, maintenance, or restoration of psychological health.
Here are some examples of when the VAT exemption applies:
One of you experiences stress, anxiety, or sadness. The session focuses on psychological recovery.
The relationship feels good, but there are burnout symptoms, low mood, or tensions. The session supports recovery.
There is no diagnosis yet, but there are clear signs of mental overload. The session aims at preventing breakdown or absence from work.
Whether a session is VAT-exempt depends on the purpose of the treatment. If there are psychological or emotional complaints – diagnosed or clearly present – and the sessions are aimed at recovery, relief, or prevention, then the VAT exemption remains applicable.
Our practice falls under the VAT exemption for healthcare when the guidance is aimed at treating psychological complaints or a (suspected) disorder. In other cases – for example, guidance that is more coaching or advisory in nature – we are required to charge 21% VAT.
During the intake, we will determine together whether the guidance falls under the exemption.
We understand that the difference between VAT-exempt and VAT-taxable sessions can be quite confusing. That’s why we are happy to think along with you. Are you unsure whether your session falls under the VAT exemption? Or would you like to review together what best fits your situation?
Please feel free to contact us — we’re happy to help!
Note: Amsterdam Noord location
At our Amsterdam-Noord location, we only offer sessions that fall under the VAT rate (21%). This means that only sessions focused on relationship deepening, prevention, reflection, or personal development without psychological or mental overload and disorders can be booked here.
Would you like to benefit from the VAT exemption based on a therapeutic goal or existing complaints? In that case, we are happy to refer you to one of our other locations or to online sessions.
In our practice, we strive to provide the best possible support and a careful continuation of each process. Sometimes, your therapist may be temporarily unavailable. In that case, we will arrange for a dedicated colleague to take over your sessions, ensuring your support continues uninterrupted.
This colleague will have access to your file and will prepare carefully to ensure a smooth transition. A fresh perspective can also provide valuable new insights into the process.
Do you have any questions about continuing your process or our working methods? Please feel free to contact us.
After the session, you will receive an invoice. We ask that you pay it promptly.
If payment is not received, we will send two reminders. We will then forward the invoice to a debt collection agency (with additional costs).
Appointments are not binding. Please cancel or reschedule as soon as possible, no later than two business days (48 hours) in advance, by email or through the online booking system.
Easily use our online booking system to pay for the Private Transformation Program or the Transformation Weekend. If you would like to receive an invoice, please feel free to contact our practice assistants.
You have the flexibility to cancel the Private Transformation Programs and the Transformation Relationship Weekend free of charge up to four weeks before the start date. For cancellations up to two weeks before the weekend or private program, 50% of the costs will be charged. If you cancel within one week before the start date of the weekend or private program, the full amount (100%) will be charged.
