Systemic therapy is a method in which you don’t just look at yourself. You look primarily at what happens between you and other people in your life, the system. Thus, we focus on what happens between you and your partner. The unfruitful patterns: how can we break them? In addition, you learn to see and understand differences between others. How do you deal with that?
Systemic therapy is a scientifically proven approach. During the sessions, we reflect on the patterns, interactions and dynamics in your life and relationship. Either way, they are connected to the context. Your history, important events and the environment. In doing so, we also look at your strengths and vulnerabilities. Both elements are allowed to be there within the relationship. How can we bring them together in the current system, the relationship now? And how can you move forward from there (together)?
It is precisely because you examine the whole context that this therapy is effective. In doing so, you look at several factors that affect it. Actually, it is a complete look at the “case. And that gives a long-lasting(er) effect and more insight into issues inside and outside the relationship. You discover where frictions have their origins. Where they come from. That makes it a little “easier” to find a solution afterward.
