Talks and workshops
Every company runs on relationships: between colleagues, with managers, and at home, where the workday carries on. Praktijk de Liefde has guided more than 15,000 couples and knows better than anyone how people lose and find each other. We share that knowledge on stages and in workshops.
Not a trainer with a slide deck, but a philosopher who spent ten years working for multinationals and today leads the largest relationship therapy practice in the Netherlands. The talks are given by Jochum Damstra and grounded in the data of 15,244 guided relationships and more than 28,000 conversations. For boards, management teams, conferences and wellbeing weeks.
What 15,244 relationships teach us about how people lose and find each other. With figures no one else has: why 41 percent seek help outside office hours, why the second step is harder than the first, and what one sentence at the right moment does.
It is never about the dishes. About the dance two people perform together, the three moments where conflict actually damages, and why slowing down is the entire skill. You will not clash less, but differently.
When one of our therapists leaves, 12 percent of clients stay. What that figure says about your own turnover, why an open door is not yet safety, and what the home front does to your team on Monday morning.
Formats: a keynote of one hour plus questions, an executive masterclass of half a day for boards and management teams, or a keynote plus guided deep-dive as the heart of your offsite. On stage the same boundaries apply as in our therapy rooms: no client stories and no therapy for an audience. What you get instead are honest, sometimes confronting insights from thousands of guided journeys.
Jochum Damstra is a philosopher and entrepreneur. He studied philosophy at the University of Humanistic Studies, with psychology and sociology as a second foundation, and graduated in critical organisation studies: the field that asks the uncomfortable question of why organisations do what they do, and whether it could be done differently. He was named young philosophical talent of the year.
He then built and led Make Sense Health for ten years, a healthcare communications agency serving clients such as Pfizer, Novartis, Stryker and ABN, along with numerous hospitals. He knows the boardroom from the inside, including everything that is and is not said there.
He did not stay on the advisory side. He developed Dappr, a sustainable wound care brand now sold at Dutch retailers including Etos and DA, media partner of the Royal Dutch Hockey Association and partner of Royal Dutch Child Welfare Stamps. From idea to shelf: he knows first-hand what it takes to bring something new into an established market.
Today he is director of Praktijk de Liefde, the largest specialised relationship therapy practice in the Netherlands.
That combination is rare: a speaker who knows your world, who has a philosophical framework to make sense of what happens beneath the surface, and who holds data no other speaker has. On stage the same boundaries apply as in our therapy rooms: no client stories, only aggregated insights.
A keynote starts from €3,500 excluding VAT. An executive masterclass or an offsite is higher, depending on duration, group and preparation. You receive a quote within two business days with one total amount; you will hear an indication during the exploratory call.

A keynote takes one hour plus questions. An executive masterclass covers half a day of two and a half to three hours, and for an offsite we tailor the program to your day.
A talk or keynote has no maximum. The interactive workshop works best with up to twenty participants; for larger groups we bring a second facilitator or split the group.
